seriously, if they aren't going to make a second half then they just need to sweep this garbage under the rug.

Others might say the movie is "open ended" and we have to guess for ourselves. As soon as the story starts to go somewhere it just metaphorically takes a dump on your face. ummm, hey director Umetsu, I think you're missing something.ĭid their budget run out and they said "F*** it, let's send it?" I mean, I actually paid money for a copy of this so I thought there was no way that could be the end of the movie so I actually jumped on good ol' Google immediately after watching and found that yes indeed, that was it.

the two eventually meet up by chance and then. The action is uninspired compared to the first movie and the stories and characters have nothing to do with each other, this one features the girl's father being an astronaut on a recon mission and gets mutated into a monster xenomorph-style straight out of Aliens and makes his way back to earth and goes on a rampage while his killer daughter is on another assignment. The only thing this movie has to do with "Kite" is the gun she uses and the main character being a teenage super assassin. If this review gets deleted, I hope Crunchyroll deletes this movie with it because I'm gonna save everyone time and disappointment. Most voices are actually really good but Sawa is not. It’s really bothersome and high pitched making it hard to listen to. The English voice is really not that good for Monoka, making him sound way too cutesy. The voice doesn’t always sink up with the English voices though there was an attempt at least to do it right. The artwork is way different then Kite before it, being much newer and more fluid then the first. The whole show was jumping all over the place and only at the end did it even show what it was trying to do. The ending leaves us guessing what the hell happens next and gives us no closure to the story line. Even more bothersome is the fact that her father wasn’t dead. It didn’t work out at all and made things feel choppy. To me, this changes the storyline drastically because it’s like she wants to kill rather then being forced to kill.Īs for the new piece that they placed into it, the monsters just feel like they tried to make something more then it already was.

She works at a small dinner and acts extremely clumsy even though she could kill someone rather fast. When we finally get to the main character, it’s about 9 minutes into it. They could have fooled me though since she looks exactly like the original Sawa. It doesn’t follow the original story much in that the girl they call Sawa is actually a girl named Monaka Noguchi and is not the main character from the other show. Sadly, it only explains where The main character’s father has been. This one started extremely strangely as they start out in space.
